new to krabi

hi never been to thailand im spending 6 nights in krabi in june with my husband hope someone can help where to stay have read some hotels only access by boat but dont want that.. would like nice beach with some laid back bars close by (taxi or to walk) have read about ao nang do you think that would suit? dont want to pay more than £300 for hotel or maybe a beach bungalow.hope you can help

I know you say you dont want to go on a boat but.....railay is just a 10 min boat ride from ao nang and much much nicer. You will love it there. You can get your hotel there to pick you up form the airport and get you on a longtail boat - it couldnt be easier.

Ao Nang has some very nice areas and plenty of bars. Yes Railay is a fantastic beach location and you can do day trips there if you like.

Weather in June probably won't be beach weather but there is plenty of other stuff to do in the area. Great night markets in Krabi town, Tiger Cave Temple etc
