Just after an idea on prices for beer, food etc.

I realise their will be a range of prices but just wondered about average price of a beer and meal, nothing to posh.

Not going until October so plenty of time to save!

You can have a local beer for 100-200 thb ( imported x2 ) , meal anywhere from 60-1k thb - depend of your choice street booth or german/french/japanesee sea front fancy restaurant :) - well ... you could also survive on 7-11 sandwiches 25thb piece and beer from 40-110 thb ( a small convenience store - liquor store ... kinda )

Pints are around 130 baht, but you can get it much cheaper if you look around or at Happy Hour.

I usually pay about 80-120THB for a Chang beer which can be very strong, most beer over here has 6%ABV But take it from me that's just a loose guide, A guy I know who works in the Chang brewery told me the true figure is more than likely going to be 7-8%ABV that's why the locals refer to the feeling next day as a Changover

Just so you know Chang it the sponsor for Everton football club.

Chang is also the Thai word for Elephant.

If you like you can have a beer tower like in my photo 5 litres for 630 THB

We usually budget about £50 - £60 per day for the 2 of us, and that's enough for food and drink and any bits we want to buy. Been doing that for the last 3 years and it's always worked, were off again in 1 week and have planned the same.

G'Day Andy & Magpie,

You guys have been around long enough to know, drinking beer does not cause a hangover. It's when you stop drinking beer that's when you get the hangover.

I mean how many dero's and wino's have ever asked you for an Aspirin?
