Travelling in group?! Need help on hotels

Hi

I will be travelling to Phuket with another 6 friends, we are planning to stay in one room, and prefer to stay near the Patong beach, i am still doing research on hotels that have family rooms so we can stay together in one room that would fit, anyone have suggestions hotels that we can check out?

And is it convenient to just walk-in to hotels or best to do booking first? This questions may be silly but just thought of asking bcoz my friend keep bringing that idea to just walk-in instead of booking!

Thanks in advance :)

Happy to try and help but you'll need to be more specific!

You and your friends will have to decide on whether you're going to go for a couple of rooms or adjoining rooms too as family rooms won't fit 7 people, and no hotel is going to allow you to sleep 7 in one room!

There are so many hotels in Patong that you need to work out your budget and then search for hotels in your price range. Online booking sites like Agoda are a good place to start.

Walk ins may be OK during the low season so it depends on where you go, so keep that in mind.

Hope this helps :)

Try Flipkey, they have self contained villas/houses/apartments I believe it will be cheaper than a hotel room and with more room to move :)

Sawaddi Patong Resort have i believe two choices, suite room with two separate sleeping aeeas, or adjoining room deals. Great place, 10 minutes from the beach and Jungceylon but tucked away nice and quietly in the back streets....

Swiss Palm Beach Hotel is worth a look, very cheap rates and all the rooms are apartments with seperate living areas, they are mainly 1 & 2 bedroom but they do have one 3 bedroom apartment with 2 showers, living room, kitchen etc. Low season prices for their 2 bedroom ones start at 2100baht a night. Their restaurant is nice & they also have a pool with swim up pool bar. Great location only 150 metres from the beach. They fill up fast so you would need to book in advance.

go onto Booking.com, search hotels in patong beach, and view the map of any random hotel. it will then show you ALL the hotels they have that are in the area, you can put your cursor over it and it gives you the rate, etc.

plus gives you an idea of where it is inconjunction to main roads/beaches etc.

tony resort is a good value budget hotel with a pool, its basic but alot of groups/travellers/young people go to. aswel as older mature couples/singles.

mercure deevana is a nice hotel but abit more exspensive, just a superior is fine.
