Jan = Peak season rates. No hotel needs to do deals at that time of year. You may have to either consider increasing your budget or lowering your expectation eg 2/3star.

Have a look at agoda, expedia ect and see what's available around your budget. Then you can narrow down your choices.

Cheers

Seaview is very quiet as its up the north end of patong beach and about a 15min stroll into the night life, but it can be a bit to much when your walking around shopping etc every day with the heat so we use to walk in and taxi back which was 200 baht. The Banthai is very close but not to close to be noisy. A friend of mine has stayed here and said the hotel was lovely. We had a few meals at the resturant( the post) which were great and reasonable... Green curry to die for and only 250 baht. It was our first time and have just been home a few days and already I want to return so have fun:)

Thanks everyone for your replies! I'm currently looking at Club Bamboo Boutique Resort. Does anyone know this? I'm just a bit worried it's too far out of the main nighlife and beach. Is it short walking distance? Thanks
