help with family accommodation

Hi,

My hubby and I are travelling to Patong for 9 nights in December with kids aged 16, 14 and 9. We stayed at Graceland Resort 2 years ago and had a pretty good time but felt it was a bit big and impersonal. We had also stayed at Horizon Resort Karon before Graceland which we loved.

After many +++ hours of looking at TA and reading reviews, driving a local travel agent mad, and looking at places that are nearer the beach and around the $250 AUD per night I think I am down to a short list;

Horizon Patong staying in interconnecting rooms - this will allow us to see a different part/end of Patong and still be close to beach and looks smaller than Graceland or

Swiss Palm Beach (near Graceland) in a 2 bedroom apartment - this will allow us to try somewhere different but still be in a part of town that we are familiar with and close to beach or

Graceland Resort - where we know what to expect and didn't dislike.

would be grateful for any direction and experiences.

My recommendation would be Swiss Palm Beach - or if you want to go to the other end of Patong beach the Duanjitt,but it is pretty big similar to Gracelands
