Like to check if the link below is the correct phuket metered taxi. Thanks
It is a website of a tour operator.
It is very difficult to find a taxi running on meter in Phuket, most go via fixed rate.
Please mention from - to location and number of persons, so that destination experts can help you.

I am looking for transport from phuket airport to patong beach for a group of 2 adults and 3 children.
Contact one of the recommended drivers on this forum. They will at least send someone & you can sort out the price so you'll know.
The price has gone up with meter taxi. My friends just arrived yesterday. They take 100B at the counter and the taxi charge by meter, i think its 700B to patong.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Would appreciate it if someone could comment on using drivers listed here vs phuket shuttle website which is also mentioned here (
Just use a metered taxi. Exit out to the driveway turn right and walk all the way to the end. U less yoy have a huge group that needs a van, a metered taxi is fine.Edited: 04 November 2013, 17:06
Will the metered taxi be able to take my group of 2 adults and 3 children?
Read somewhere that normal car/taxi only takes 3 passengers?
Nope. You probably need a mpv for that, including your luggage, or a large car.
