Booking Holiday Inn? Tub or Aus dollar

I'm looking to stay at the holiday inn and hope to book online but I'm not sure if I can pay using Aus dollars or will I have to convert my currency to Thai baht first?

The website you're using should show you which currency it's going to charge you in. If it's in THB then your bank will do the conversion for you and charge you a foreign currency conversion fee, commonly around 4% of the transaction amount. I suspect at the moment you would get roughly THB29 to AUD1.

I had an unfortunate situation using Agoda once whereby they charged me in AUD but my bank still charged me the conversion fee despite no conversion taking place. They claimed it was because the transaction was processed overseas. Can't remember whether I got the fee refunded or not...
