Hi Kelli, my husband had both my name and our sons name tattood in Thai in Khao Lak last year. What we did was we got them to write it down and we took the paper and asked the locals what it said. It indeed did spell our names. We also caught up with our thai friend and he also confirmed this.

The tattoos look great by the way!

Parker's, that's a great idea! I've got Thai friends but chatting over Facebook is a little hard at times. I speak a little Thai.... But not fluent enough!

Celebrity Ink are helping me with the translation.... มีเพื่อนรักที่สวยและแสนดีทำให้หัวใจฉันพองโตกระชุ่มกระชวย

I did exactly what Parkers did also.. Got the Tattoo guy to write it down (even though I trusted him), I took it to our local bar and got them to tell me what it said..

Very happy also..

I'm not Thai, but I speak it pretty well. You will need to explain in detail the precise meaning meaning of your phrase in order to get it right. This would be necessary between English and a similar language like Spanish, but it's extra important for Thai because Thai and English are very different languages.

Hi

I agree with above regarding the precisely the meaning of your phrase. In Thai we don't have such the word " beautiful friends" but there's the word " true friends" which you could translate in to two words.

True friends = Mit tae = มิตรแท้

True friends = paun tae = เพื่อนแท้ = paun tai = เพื่อนตาย

The word tai mean dead, die. When adding to the word paun or Mit its emphasis the meaning of true friend.

The words paun and Mit are the same meaning.

Hope this help.
