Low season

Can you please tell me when is the low and high season for hotels. Looking for Hotel up to $120 Au

a night. Staying for 8 nights, want breakfast, pool, tea&coffee. Hoping to find one that offers stay 8 pay 4. Close to beach and Bangla Rd. we are a couple in our 70s. It is a long list but hopefully someone can help, thanking you in advance.

From around May to November is low season in Phuket, they call it Green Season and you can often get good deals at the hotels.

If you book via a travel agent the wholesalers such as qantas etc offer pay 4 get 8 or pay 5 get 10 deals. Sometimes it works out cheaper booking direct with the hotel. You just need to do your homeowrk. We had good deals on the Merlin Beach resort and the Horizon Karon with the pay 1 get one free. We also got the free nights at Amari Patong one year.

November will be cooler (although still hot), March will be hotter and drier.

Nov and March are High season. So ptices are higher. Have a look at Salathai good location, 3 star very clean, good breakie, about 100m to the beach, and 10 min stroll to Bangla, night still be in your range in High season.

Also, if you book your accom now, you are unlikely to find discount rates. If you leave it til about 6 weeks out you most likely will find them. Just make a list of a few hotels you dont mind the look of, because you may not get your 1st choice.

Check out different booking sites like Asia web Direct, sawadee.com as well as the hotels
