Help - on a really tight budget this year and have the following choices after hours on internet.

1 - 7 nights AI at the beginning of September

2 - 11 nights very end of September beginning of October.

Same hotel.

7 night or 11. Whats important to us is being able to sunbath and swim during the day and spend a few evening eating and drink out an about without being too chilly. Would love to be able to stretch our budget to 11 nights but only if the weather will most probably by reliable. Can anyone advise if last week Sept 1st week of oct would be hot enough to be a summer holiday. Before everyone jumps on band wagon of look at weather underground ect ive never found them reliable, ive been away many times and these sites have shown rain constantly when we never saw a drop. So locals and Tunisian regulars please advise. 7 or 11

Normally good weather stretches through September into October before starting to cool down for winter. Saying that had friends go mid September few years ago and it rained every day. In my experience you will be okay end of September and that is option I would go for.

Stephnia,

7 night begining September would be me recommendation. Historically speaking the weather at the time of the year is just about comfortably hot, unlike in August when temperatue peaks at an unbearble 50 degrees.

Temperatures should average 30 degrees daytime with a lot of sun lights

So you should be able to:

1. Swim in the sea and hotel outdoor swimmimg pool(s)

2. Sunbathe

3. Get a good sun tan.

4. Engage in seafront watersport and boat daytrips

5. Have drinks/meals at beach bars

4. Walk aboutduring evening in light summer clothes

The other option of of spending 11 nights end of Sept / beginning Oct is worthwhle considering. Weatherwise it should be still warm, but that period is traditionnaly and commercially considered outside the holiday season and as such there isn't much local enthiasm. But it is value for money if you are only after the sun and a tan.

Nobody can predict how Mother Nature would be behave.
