Me and my friend are Staying in Caribbean world Hammamet and were wondering if there were any decent clubs near by?
Hi Lauren, a 10 minute walk will get you to Latinos. This is a great night club, open til 4am and depending on what time of year you are going there is an outside part that is great for the summer months. Ive been going to Tunisia now for about 6 years, stayed at Caribbean World a number of times, and I love both the hotel and Latinos. Hope you have a great time.
NIGHTCLUBS IN HAMMAMET:
Most are within walking distance from Yasmine if you are fit with no mobility problems. Taxis would take you to any of them for about 5 dinars (£2.50) assuming the driver is honest and display the meter.
Most don't charge an entrance fee Unless there is a special ticket only event (which is very rare)
COST OF ALCOHOL
Expensive for big international brands. Carlsberg would set you around 12 dinars (£6) a pint. Large Smirnoff Vodka 18 - 20 Dinars (£9).
Local alcoholic drink are cheaper. about 1/2 the cost of famous brands.
These clubs are frequented mainly by young locals guys. Very few tourists, if any, among the crowd.
Be aware that western females would get a lot of attention from the guys who would use every charm and to try it on. Do not engage with any conversation with any of them, do not listen to any sob story they would pour on you, and definitely do not accept a drink from them, not should you buy them drink. Do not go with them if they offer to show you other places.
If you are to stay late, you should also be aware that taxis would take advantage and charge some crazy late night fares.
Most hotels have night time entertainment including discos within their premises. Much safer and more relaxing as you would feel at home among follow holidaymakers.
Play it safe
That's lovely, thank you very much for letting me know all this.
Will definately take note of your advice!
