Dar Khayam - On Site Shop

Hiya Guys. Sorry to be yet another pain asking more questions about the Dar Khayam.

Can you tell me if the on site shop will sell shampoo/ conditioner and body wash. I don't normally pack these items when I go to Spain as the Mercadona is opposite the hotel. If the on site shop does - do you roughly know how much it would cost for these items?

Many thanks - I hope this wasn't a stupid question LOL

Shazza,

Its not a stupid question its one were you need info,

We went to this hotel a couple of years ago and I can't remember if the sold what you are looking for, I think they will but might cost a lot more than the UK,

My last leaflet from one of the large supermarkets in PEK has these prices,

A basic shampoo, 2.150td around a £1,

Nivea body wash, 6.990td, around £3,

The hotel shop will be a lot higher so try and pack your own,

Hi we went to this hotel in May this year, the shop on the site is small and as far as I can remember they do not, but there are some shops just outside of the hotel (opposite) they sell day to day essentials, sorry not sure of prices

Hope you enjoy your stay like we did

Hi Carron.

Thanks for this info. I think from Alan's post that I will probably be best taking my own. I do hate taking them with me on holiday as I can always buy from the local shop or supermarket but as its a place I have not been before I think so for the 1st time to Tunisia I should. Only 65 days to go and counting LOL.

Thanks

Hi

we stayed at this hotel in July and the on site shop does sell all toiletries etc. The staff are always polite and helpful. There is a shop opposite the hotel some say is cheaper but looking at the prices I thought there was not that much difference.

We had a great time at the Dar Khayam, hope you do too :-)

Shazza. If you have a Poundland near you ,, you can buy shampoo and conditioner in

sachets. They are Pantene and you get 24 sachets for £1. These are a lot lighter to carry.

We are going there in November so hope you have a nice time and a good review.

Hi Shazza,

The on site shop does sell branded items but the shop across the road had a lot more variety.

Alison is quite right though, I got the sachets of shampoo and conditioner and body wash from my local pound land, much cheaper option and not too much weight in your luggage just wrap them in a few carrier bags in case they leak.

Hope this helps and that you enjoy your holiday.

Oh wow guys thank you very much. I have a 99p store in Launceston which is about 30 minutes away (thats the problem with living out in the sticks in Cornwall LOL) I will venture over there at some point before I am due to go.

Thank you again and hopefully this post will come in handy for the next person who ask's!! :)
