1. Re: prices

Alcoholic drinks are expensive. Almost same prices as UK if not higher for big name brand like Bell's whisky of Smirnoff Vodka. Local beer (Celtia) taste quiet good and far cheapers than the Heinekne and Carlsberg.

Soft drinks, tea and coffee are by far cheaper in towns that at the hotel. Example: one litre bottel of water in the hotel would cost 2 dinars. In a shop outside is less than half of that.

Shopping for other items, like clothes, souvenirs and jewellery can be either done at fix-price shops or by haggling. You will need to be absolutely a good haggler to get away with bargains. Otherwise, you will end up paying well over the tops prices. Good Hagglers get good bargains. Bad hagglers get ripped-off.

Be extremely careful when buying jewellery or designer gears. Most are fake big time.

Sousse is only a short taxi tide away. A good three course meal for two in a local eatery will cost around £20.00 with wine - fantastic value. We went for the first time last May and returning again this year - loved PEK.
