Bus to Ephesus from Kusadasi

Can anyone give me specific information about taking a bus from the port to Ephesus? Bus location? Cost? Schedule? Is it easy to do, or would a taxi be better?

Thanks!

The local dolmus (mini bus) run every half hour from Kusadasi - ask a local for the Selcuk dolmus. You may have to walk up to the station which will take about 10 minutes - its not hard to find - just keep saying Selcuk dolmus and you will get pointed in the right direction. Cost 5ytl each way per person. Time - takes about 20 - 30mins and drops you at the entrance to the short road up (walk takes 10 mins).(the drivers all know it and if you are European they stop automatically and Point you where the road is etc etc) If its hot grab a taxi (they will be waiting at the bus stop) and get them to drop you at the top gate and walk down - much easier. Entrance to Ephesus this year is I think 20 ytl each.

The other option the taxi.

Just out of the port exit there is a huge taxi stand and they will have boards with prices advertised. Most also offer the option of visiting Meryama (Marys house) and sometimes the museum or basilica in Selcuk. The prices are set but you can sometimes get them down a little if you bargain but often its not worth the hassle if times short.
