Moderately priced cave hotel ???

Recommendations for a moderately priced cave hotel for 3 nights mid October. Would love a private balcony or terrace. Suggestions?

There are many good cave hotels, and many have a choice of price levels. I've stayed at the Travellers Cave and the Kelebek but you can search for hotels by price using any hotel search website, then read reviews here and on booking.com.

balconies are often on more expensive rooms- http://www.kelebekhotel.com/room-21.php. You don't really need one as your room door will take you right outside and n most of the hotels have lovely terraces for sitting out.

Hi there

We stayed at the Shoestring Cave Hotel and would highly recommend it. It has rooms on about 3 levels so should meet your needs. Great location and helpful hosts. It also has a pool, although I'm not sure what the temperature will be in Oct.

Cheers, Steph

It'd help a lot if you would define 'moderate' in terms of Canadian dollars, Euro, or Turkish lira. In Cappadocia, there are cave hotels in almost every price range. Most people post their budget/night and regulars add their recommendations per the budget.

I will recommend Yasin backpackers cave hotel whom are 1/2 the price of the likes of Kelebek/Aydinli cave hotel.

They offer private cave rooms as well as even cheaper pension style dorms.

As advised above most hotels including this one have great terraces for sitting and lazing around.

The owners will be able to assist with all your activity bookings such as day tours, balloon or horse rides, car or scooter rental, dervish show etc

I can vouch for the Kelebek, having just returned from a wonderful stay. They have rooms at various rates, from 55 euros & up depending on size and amenities. The rooms don't all have balconies/ terraces but there are several places for you to lounge around - by the pool, the bar etc - each offering fantastic views.

If you want a good view and a nice terrace take a hotel in Gaferli Mah, that way when the sun is setting you have a great view from the correct side of town

Littlemiss, have you stayed in any of these hotels or are they also owned by the travel agent you have been advertising.

Although we chose not to stay in a cave room we were thrilled with Élysée Cave hotel and I thought it woke as very reasonably priced with an excellent attentive owner. The roof terrace is open all the time with wonderful views. It is a short nit too hilly walk to the Main Street.
