Prices of food and drink

Hi

What sort of prices would you expect to pay for a meal in Altinkum? Also what are local beer prices?

We like a good value meal without paying too much.

Have had various recommendations for restaurants on this forum which we will try. Any other recommendations?

Also what local bars does anyone recommend?

There's a range of food and prices, just check the menus before you go in anywhere, they're all displayed outside. The restaurants along the main front tend to be a tad dearer but for what you described, good solid food at reasonable prices there are plenty of choices. The Turkish cuisine only places are very cheap. Here you can get mains from 8-9 ytl.

Bar prices have quite a range too, depends which one you go to.One tip, pay for your drinks each round, not altogether when you're leaving.

Huge difference in cost of imported spirits versus local versions.Spirits and wine are heavily taxed in Turkey.Get as much as you can in duty free if I were you.Bear in mind you can purchase duty free on arrival at Bodrum airport.

As Margaritaville has already said spirits are very expensive in Turkey, just buy as much as you can in the airport and then at your arrival airport.

Bodrum airport used to have a duty free shop in the arrival area but this year they have opened a new terminal building so not sure whats there as to shops etc.

Sorry cant answer you about prices of spirits in carrefor, although the local beer is cheap !!
