duty free options

hi all

my daughter is flying to dalaman from birmingham via istanbul. she wants to get duty free at birmingham but is wondering if this will be a problem when boarding again at istanbul...liquid issues?

She must tell them at Birmingham that she is taking a connecting flight and they will seal the liquids in a special see-through duty free bag that she can then carry through the subsequent security scans and on to the plane. She should carry this bag separate from her hand luggage so that it can be clearly seen.

Above response is not valid. Seal bag is only good at the airport where the bottles are bought. She must place the bottles to her checked baggage in Istanbul. Having said that, she will most likely not see the bags in Istanbul. So it can not be done.
