Retired Coastguard ship to be sunk in Fethiye area

Hey y'all, I just found out that this summer the Turkish coastguard is retiring a ship, and it will be sunk in the Fethiye bay area with the assistance of the university in Antalya. The Fethiye Diving Association and the Fethiye council are also donating cement blocks to be added, creating a refuge for fish and marine life. The area will become a marine preserve, and it will be a wonderful place for divers to explore the wreck, and for fish and marine life to find a sanctuary. There has been concern for some time about the lack of fish in the area, and this is a great step to reversing this.
