Turkish Baths - should I be worried

I'm going on a break with my hubby, and i'm concerned for both of us regarding turkish baths.

A friend of mine went (male friend) and he was touched inappropriately. Now, i have suspicions about my hubby that he would be up for this, but I dont want to put him in temptations way.

He keeps talking about it, and it's scaring me.

A strange scenario, sorry to hear about your husband's leanings.

Do you think your friend was over-exaggerating and could have been touched by the hamamci in error?

I have never had any problems here as a lady with male massuers in the hamam. You could shout and make a fuss I guess if it happened? Stick to the reputable agents and don't go nude with pestemal, perhaps hubby could wear his trunks under ?

I have never experienced problems either! I always keep my bikini on and the males I know keep their trunks on. It is a thorough scrub amd massage but I have never felt it inappropriate.

My husband and I both went for our turkish baths at the same time last year, I wore a bikini, he wore his bathing trunks, we were both scrubbed to within an inch of our lives by male attendents with no inappropriate touching.

A very strange but Interesting question - as for innapropriate actions from staff - thats very very unlikely.

And for the other part of your post it may possibly be better answered by either a marriage counsellor or a a Psychiatrist as a travel forum is certainly not the place for it.

I & my wife have had turkish bathes a number of

times in Turkey & Cyprus, then followed by private

masseurs for oil massages in a room one to one.

The massuers have been male & female & nothing

innapropriate was done.

I 2009 I had a one to one private massage with a

Indian lady masseur, while in Goa in our hotel.

She was very professional, & though I wore a very

short pair of shorts, she said I ought have worn

something shorter, like a pair of pants or even me

wearing nothing I think she would have been o/k.

Nothing at all was innapropriate, she was a excellent

When I had a turkish bath recently I thought the guy of the slab next to me (stranger to me) should have paid for the extras he received, the lady masseur gave his bottom a pretty decent spanking!

My mother in law was asked to strip naked for her massage with the above masseur too thinking about it, I would have refused but she seemed ok about it. I certainly wouldn't have let a stranger massage me there but I guess she had the chance to say no thankyou.

Best stick to the beach.

When living in Finland we were invited back to someone's house, with other people, for a sauna.

We declined, not being too sure about foreign customs.

There are many good Turkısh baths ın the Fethıye area, but unfortunately there are lots of complaınts about ınapproprıate behavıour from the staff of some others. I use the one ın Yaşaroğlu hotel, operated by a famıly doıng Turkısh baths for 3 generatıons, and am off there today as a matter of fact. Also, near Lycıan Dreams hotel ıs a Turkısh Bath called Heaven, and I lıke them alot, too.
