FJ - good info - from you, but poor info from Fethiyetimes, the route has been in use for a long time, having used it myself many times over the years.
There is also a reduction in bus fare price if paying for 2 people, only 25 Küruş but İ am a Scot.
Bati Antalya has been running a bus along this route for years..
OTOBÜS HAREKET SAATLERİ
Antalya-Fethiye (Sahilden) coastal route
ANTALYA-FETHİYE 25.00 liras ( mountain route )
ANTALYA-FETHİYE 35.00 liras ( coastal route )
That's old news, FJ. See the Antalya forum for loads of queries about transport from the airport. I heard that the price for the 600 bus has gone up to 3TL?
I have been using the Batiantalya bus on the coastal route for years.
Pamukkale Turizm and Kâmil Koç bus companies also travel the Antalya-Fethiye mountain route, all offer a very comfortable, reliable service.
Here is a post which gives you information on the 600 bus from Terminal 2.
David, I merely reported an article in the local Fethiye news that I hoped migh help members, I personally, do not use this route and had no reason to doubt this article when it was reported as a new bus service.
As other members have said the article is not correct in saying this was a new bus service. I accepted this fact yesterday thanks to F.F and canmom.
I am sorry I made a mistake, but, perhaps the article might help other new member not as familiar as you are with the route or other forums.Edited: 06 November 2013, 10:26
Yes, FJ a useful bringing together of information for those members seeking an alternative method of reaching Fethiye or not aware of the excellent bus service.
I see the article is dated 24 April 2012.
Hi Scousemouse, I think it's a good idea too. Might make it a sticky. I was doing a little research online myself as, hopefully, next year we might be spending more time in Turkey and wanted to find out about routes when Dalaman is closed off season. May think about flying to Istanbul for a few days and then on to Dalaman.
Off subject, I am also a Scouser...
Careful FJ - Dalaman is not "closed" out of season - people will start to panic! Most of the charter airlines stop flying, but Thomas Cook normally put on a couple of return flights to Dalaman for Christmas, and of course there is always the option of flying via Istanbul. Antalya has a somewhat greater flight offer, and then the bus to Fethiye. Good fun when the roads are cut off due to snow.... soon cleared though!
