Al Hamra

Not sure if anyone is planning a holiday at the Al Hamra Resort in the near future but have just recieved this local information:

"As may already know, Al Hamra Fort Hotel & Beach Resort is joining the

Hilton Worldwide family and in line with this, a refinement of the hotel has started this month. During this refinement, following are the implications of the works:

Relocation of All Day Dining to La Fortezza.

Closure of Don Camilo Italian restaurant

Partial relocation of Gym/fitness to current Kids Club

(closure of Kids Club),

Closure of Scirocco (Le Chalet will become the evening bar

venue)

Front desk activities will be relocated to the existing Al

Jazeerah reception.

Despite the fact that all works will be within the main building there are chances of construction sounds around the main building. No works at present are scheduled in the Villa areas where guests will continue to be accommodated. Existing rates are reflective of the works happening within the resort."

1. Re: Al Hamra

Thanks for that. I was planning to go there last weekend but changed plans to stay home and watch the Wimbledon final.

May go in August so it's good to know there's building work going on.
