There are no hotels within walking distance. It is beside the Khan (Creek/lagoon which has a fountain in the middle) near where there is a bridge. You can't really miss it. All taxis will know its location. ILME

Blue Souq (Souq Al Markazi or Central Souq) - An interesting shopping centre hosting around 600 shops in two wings. The ground floor shops tend to stock gold and expensive designer clothes, with the upper level containing shops stocking carpets and curios from as far afield as Afghanistan and Tibet. Haggling over prices in the upper-level shops will frequently attract massive discounts. A great place to buy gifts and traditional goods.

Good stuff? Not much made in the UAE but lots from the Asian sub-continent. Lots of curios and nick-nacks. There are some small silversmith shops upstairs where they will make you something handmade. A pendant with your name in Arabic is a popular one. It's a good place for a couple of hours browsing.
