Medications in Zambia

Question about Travel to Zambia....It says Diphenhydramine is illegal, but can you bring psuedoephedrine and chlorpheniramine for seasonal allergies in? Also can you bring zolpidem in as well? Of course, they will be in original containers and have a Mds prescription with us.

We crossed at the bridge from Victoria Falls to Livingstone in June 2014. We were not asked about our medications. We had Zyrtec with us. They seemed more concerned about how many entries we would be making into Zambia. We had to pay $80 for a double entry visa. We were not asked any questions coming back into Zambia at the border crossing near Kasane. Whether we were legal or not, I don't know.

Check esp. #7 of this thread. Personally I would not risk bringing the mentioned substances, even when carrying a proper prescription.
