1. Re: Ice Festivals from Obihiro question - who?

Hi Amanda,

I am the one who asked the question:

Can anyone or Amanda advise me on this? I tried asking JNTO office in Singapore but it seems that it is quite difficult.

My stay in Hokkaido will be from 8th to 13th February. I will be heading to Sapporo, Otaru, Obihiro and Kushiro.

I intend to base myself in Kushiro to visit the Lake Akan Ice Festival but not sure about the transport to and fro Lake Akan.

I also intend to base myself in Obihiro for the Shikaribetsu Lake Kotan ice village and Otofuke Tokachi River Swan Festival but has no clue about the to/fro transport as well.

If you have any websites on the transport / access, please let me know as I am planning the route in Hokkaido and book the necessary accommodation.

Appreciate it.

Hope you can advise. Thanks.
