Hakone free pass - leaving Tokyo after 6pm... question

Hello,

I'm wanting to buy a Hakone free pass.

But it seems that after 6pm the Odakyu Limited Express trains don't run and that 'Homeway' trains run.

Does the Hakone free pass cover these trains or are they excluded (either because they are not part of the Odakyu line or they are a Romancecar).

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Deb

You have express trains at:

6:01pm

6:08pm

Both go to Odawara Station (where you can transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway).

These trains (and any other express, local) do not require a surcharge.

You can ride the Homeway trains are a name applied to certain RomanceCar trains, they are valid with the Hakone Free Pass to cover the base fare. If you want to ride them you just need to pay the extra surcharge of 870yen from Shinjuku if you want to use them.

Homeway trains only run starting after 6pm.
