Hi Thanks to everyone who has helped me so far as I plan our trip down memory lane. Now, when we lived in Japan many, many years ago we had no money at all and couldn't afford a trip to Kyoto. We are in Yokohama for 4 days full days April 3 to April 6 to visit our home grounds of kanagawa prefecture Chuo Rinkan, Minami Rinkan, Yamato, Tsuruma, and Machida and plan to go back and take a look at Enoshima and Kamakura too. Question #1--should we visit Kamakura on Friday rather than Saturday looking at the cherry blossom schedule or does it matter? Question #2--is it feasible for us to do a day trip to Kyoto on Saturday coming back that evening? If so is Saturday going to be really busy due to cherry blossom schedule and should we postpone to another time when we have more time to dedicate to Japan? I have seen tours (given the time constraints might be best option) that include train travel by high speed train from Yokohama or tours offered in Kyoto where you would have to make your way to Kyoto (again by train of course). Thanks for any insights--positive or negative.
