Dayrooms Narita Airport

I will be having a 8 hour stop over in narita airport travelling form London to Brisbane Australia.

I am wanting to book a dayroom for my husband and i. My question is do you have to clear customs to go to the dayrooms or do you just get off plane go to dayroom then go back straight to your gate to depart again?

THank you

Better link.

The day rooms are inside of passport control, meaning you are "outside" of Japan. They are first-come-first-served.

Simply put, as a transit passenger, you don't have to go through passport control to get to the day rooms. You just need to clear transit security.

Hi, friendlytigger,

Scroll up and look at the second link. There's a fee for the dayrooms. Reservations can be made online.

There's a new "Passenger Security Service Charge" that has been implemented, even for the transit passengers.

Click on the red link that says "Notices." The link to costs is on the bottom.

Sigh. :-(
