View of Mt. Fuji?

Hello,

one of the guidebooks I've got (Italian version of Lonely Planet) suggests that "on very clear days" Mt. Fuji can even be seen from Tokyo.

I guess it takes a lot of luck with weather, and I'm not too confident it will happen (even though I'd be delighted to get at least a glimpse of Mount Fuji!), but just in case ... I was wondering where would be the spots in Tokyo where I may have a chance to see that.

I will be in Tokyo for 4 or 5 days, around 20th April.

Thanks

San Francisco...

Try the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Its also free. Best of luck getting a view. It wasn't until my 4th visit to Japan that I got to see her. It was only when I climbed Mt Fuji that she finally revealed herself!

Took me 6 visits to see Fuji. Bizarelly I've hit good views since at random times of year. Metropolitan building as above is a great place and free entry as well. I also saw some great views from Kichijioji as well (and it's an interesting place to visit as well).
