Power Plug Converter - HELP!

I have arrived in Tokyo with a flat camera battery and no converter for my Australian plug! Can anyone advise a place that I could pick up a converter for Australian to Japanese power sockets? I have tried a couple of the major retailers but have had no luck so far.

Bic Camera should have them. Just bring your Australian one there for them to see.

Two more possible stores are Yodobashi and Tokyu Hands.

Yodobashi, Bic Camera, Yamda Denki, Tokyu Hands.

You'd be able to find them near Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Akihabara, Yurakucho stations.

Ive got to ask (because Ive seen this question before) but who travels to a foreign country and doesnt check out the voltage/plugs before flying out? I know BIC has them because i saw them ealier this month. If you are at/near Shinjuku there is a BIC and Tokyo Hands near the station

I suggest a multi converter - good for aussie, europe, asia and US. One plug to rule them all

We had trouble recently taking our converters that we had used in the USA - which has the same voltage and plug type and even said on the packet suitable for Japan and USA. Trouble is Japanese wall sockets just have the two prongs and not the third hole for the earth. We had to do lots of juggling with our devices.

Many things can be asked at your hotel's front desk. Some good hotels even have a supply of plugs for foreign travelers.

Don't worry. Families can forget a kid at home in Christmas. I have forgotten passport and money and air ticket among other things in the past.
