Your title indicates Amboseli, but you don't show this as one of your stops - only Samburu, Lk. Nakuru and the Mara.

When visiting the Mara, the herds are in residence during Sept and "crossings" can happen, though there are never any guarantees.

You often have to be out mid-day when they tend to cross, though lodges often only do morning and afternoon game drives. However, during the migration period, some lodges do send out a vehicle or two for full-days. You'll take along a boxed lunch if they do and, of course, if you are interested... let the lodge know.

Temps are mild mid-day (60s-low 70s), but mornings and nights are cool (you'll need layers) or even downright cold. While it's not the wet season, showers if brief, are known to happen anytime of the year.

This is our first trip to Kenya. We spend the first two night in Nairobi and then 2 nights at Elsa's Kopje, 3 nights at Joy's Camp and 4 nights at Bateleur Camp.
