Accommodation early Jan - mid-range jungle/beach

Hi

We're trying to find a couple of nights accommodation in Langkawi in early Jan (3 & 4 to be exact), and anywhere we find that sounds good, and reasonable seems to be booked out. .e.g. beach garden resort and more..

There's 2 adults and 1 child (6), and we're looking for somewhere that is more in a natural environment than a busy environment, maybe in/close to jungle or a quiet, nice beach. also near some good local, village shops would be good. Basic is fine as long as it's clean and the people are friendly!

Not keen however to pay more than $150ish a night.

Is there such a thing on Langkawi at this time of year? Can anyone help?

We are in Penangy for the rest of the time, and are close to giving up on visiting Langkawi at all...

Thanks :)

Think you will be lucky to find anything around this time. We booked late last year for December this year at Beach Garden Resort and even had problems then.

Suggest you see if BGR will take a waitlist, or try a larger hotel with more rooms. BGR only has 12 rooms. Good luck

How about Mutiara Burau Beach Resort?

Hi,

You can give Berjaya a try. Make sure you choose the Rainforest Studio Room category. It's close to UNESCO World Geopark the kids will love the cable car ride & the sky bridge.

Cheers!

Hi

Berjaya would be ideal for what you are looking for. It is set in the rainforest with a beautiful beach. As it is a large resort, they may have availability for the dates you are looking for. Most other places will be booked out by now for that time of year.

Thanks for that - it does look good but very expensive - more than $250 per night. Unless you know where to get it cheaper?

Thanks

Thanks - that does have some rooms - was put off a bit by some of the reviews on trip advisor and suggestions that it's closing, but it is reasonable and the area sounds like what we are looking for...

Pondok Keladi seems to fit all of your criterea except the price- it's a lot cheaper.
