Top floor of hotels in Georgetown when it rains.

Hello. I stayed in two different hotels in Geaorgetown, Penang. I was twice put on the top floor. When it rains therainfall makes a loud noise on the flat roof above, making it almost impossible to sleep. Once I asked to be moved the other time I just did not sleep. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Apart from that had a good time in Penang.

That's a pretty common problem. when i stayed at hotel mingood last year, although it's on 2nd highest floor, you can hear the rain pattering on the roof opposite the road as well.
