Good Friday - is it a public holiday in KK?

We are in Kk for 6 nights and will be there on Good Friday. Can anyone tell me if this is a public holiday and if so, what does this mean for shops, tours etc in KK. Do things close or are they open?

It is, however, a public holiday.

Tour company will be closed on Good Friday, be sure to book your tour before hand.

yes, it is a public holiday, but most shops will be opened as usual. I'm guessing tours booked in advanced will be on as well, as pretty everything will be operating as normal, given that only a small community will be affected by this holiday. =)
