Filitheyo all inclusive

We have booked an all inclusive holiday in June. Firstly is the mini bar free and included, if not what are the prices for example a gin or small bottle of wine?

Also, my husband likes the idea of taking some drinks back to our water villa so that we can have the last hour alone with a cool drink. Is this possible? Can you buy or take a bottle of wine back to the room ? Thanks

I've just come back from a week there, it was wonderful.

However, the minibar is not included in the 'all incusive' package (from memory a beer is US $5), neither is water! (US $2 if ordered from the restaurant).

I'd guess that taking drinks back to your room is up to you.

Hi, we have just come back too, and we were all inclusive. We wondered if it would have been better to be full board, as neither of us drink a lot, and I am not sure it was the cheapest way for us. Afternoon tea is lovely, but we found it difficult to fit it in!! Would be interested to know what you think. Don't know about taking bottle of wine back to your water villa, can't see it would be a problem. The Sunset Bar is very close to the water villas. Incidentally, we had to pay for bottled water, which we have not had to do before. . When we arrived we had a bottle of wine in our room as they thought we were on our honeymoon. You will have a lovely time.

We've been back for about three weeks. We went AI & were also in a water bungalow.

The mini-bar is not included in the AI deal. A gin is $6.00 + $4.00 for a bottle of tonic. A small bottle of wine (1/4 bottle size...so 1 large glass) is $12.50. A bottle of Corona is $7.00.

You can buy a bottle of wine from the main bar or the Sunset Bar to take back to your room. Wine is $30.00 - $40.00 a bottle depending on what you choose. Champagne is obviously more expensive.

There is no concession on the wine for AI guests. Everyone pays the same. However, a 1.5 litre bottle of water is $2.00 if you are AI & $4.00 if you are not.

The wine (by the glass) that is included in AI, we found to be perfectly drinkable.

The by-the-glass-water we felt was 'not quite right' & our bodies tended to agree, so after a day or so we drank only (sealed) bottled water & were fine thereafter. We did find it strange that you could have as much water as you wanted free of charge as long as you didn't want it from a sealed bottle. If you did, it was $4.00 for 1.5 litres. Didn't quite ring true, somehow. Put it this way........if we went again, we wouldn't have water by the glass.

On the subject of taking drinks back to your room(apart from a bottle of wine), the AI 'Rules & Regs' state that drinks 'are served by the glass, one at a time, & are to be consumed at place of purchase'.

That said, we often took a drink back to the water bungalow. Management & bar staff have widely differing ideas on customer relations..............for widely differing reasons.

Cocktails are good & exceptional value (2 for $11.00) during happy hour - 3pm to 5pm every day.

Any other questions, please feel free to ask.

We were looking at booking our honeymoon in July and were pretty sure about komondoo until we seen this. Can anyone answer me a few questions please:

Could you take drinks back to your room throughout the day and store them in the fridge?

What time do the bars close?

If you stay All Inclusive are the included drinks available all day?

Are deluxe beach villas detatched?

We like our drinks and yes we did take glasses of wine back to our room and also soft drinks (eg coke) to put in our mini bar, so yes we did store drinks in our mini bar. However, we drank much earlier and were in bed much earlier so drinking late at night will not be an issue.

AI drinks are available until midnight, we never managed to stay up until then! I challenge you to do so! Not sure what time the bars close, but drinks are on AI until midnight.

The deluxe villas are detached and IMO are worth it, fantastic private beach infront and views to die for. Enjoy we are jealous!
