smaller islands

hi there

not sure if this is in the right forum but will try anyway !

I'm looking for a small Island for end of December 2009/beginning january 2010 as a special birthday surprise.

have been to a few nice islands so have been spoilt.

Not sure where the best up and coming ones are located with a reasonable price in mind and tour operator in mind.

We usually travel with first choice but by then will no longer be.

would be grateful for any recommendation and advice if any one can help.

thank you

Hi TF

You've come to the right place! You've mentioned that you have already been to some islands. It would be helpful to know their names. Also the size of your reasonable budget, so we don't suggest anything OTT.

However, to get the ball rolling have a look at Athuruga and Mirihi.

We prefer the smaller Islands but finding it will be increasing in price next year.

Angaga & Bathala, both very small resorts in ARi Atoll, with great diving and both have really good house reefs.
