i don't know UK agents but maldivian.com offers helengeli. they are a small maldives specialist, based in germany - can be contacted in english via phone or email and provide excellent service.

We booked Meeru some years ago and as they had overbooked the rooms there, we were offered a free upgrade to Helengeli - it is beautiful - the most perfect place ever! Fantastic snorkelling and you can even see small reef sharks from the beach. We also saw manta rays while snorkelling! We are going to Club Faro in 3 weeks and I hope it lives up to Helengeli!!! Have fun and enjoy!

twobonkers ... i probably shouldn't mention this as i don't want to spoil your joy in looking forward to your vacation ... but, just incase you want to change your booking, you might want to be aware that club faru does not have a housereef .. so all snorkeling from there has to be done per excursion. club faru is great value for money though .

Yes I do know there is no house reef but we got a good deal and really just want 2 weeks to unwind (and we are going to Thailand for 4 weeks over Christmas!) There are 2 boat trips per day to different reefs though so we will probably go once a day and my husband will probably do some diving so it will be fine!!

Hi this is probably too late - but - the best tour operator I know (very small professional outfit who visit ALL islands they sell) is 'No News, No Shoes Ltd' speak to Christine. I have just booked my 5th trip to Maldives for Honeymoon this year (4 out of the 5 trips have been through No News No Shoes) - service is excellent, and if any issues at all Christine is just a phonecall away... I will never look back having found these guys - they do all the little islands often not sold by the bigger tour operators.

Hope this helps - it did for me when I was told :)

two bonkers,

faru is GVFM . we enjoyed it, much better than expected. The 2 reef snorkle trips were free and often went to Kurumba reef. loads to see. Food excellent. good atmosphere. rooms clean large and comfier beds than Ive had on other Islands.

lots of rocky bits to snorkle around near dive school
