Dress code at Belle Mar Plage

Evening all, off to BMP this friday for two weeks. According to website, evening dress code is quite strict for the gents, no sandals t shirts etc. My hubby is quite well prepared but just wondered how strict the restaurant rules actually are in case he wants to take some additional more "relaxed" clothing. Thanks :-)

In nearly all hotels in Mauritius it's smart/casual, long trousers, no sleeveless t.shirts (although those with short sleeves in are perfectly ok) nor flipflops for men. Jeans however seem to be ok - apparently - my husband doesn't wear them but we've seen others who do. I have seen men turned away from the dining room if they are unsuitably attired. Women can get away with virtually anything.

Mazza :-)

Hi stayed here last year and dress code is smart casual with no shorts or flip flops for men. Long trousers are a must. Women can wear what they like from casual to full on bling.

As have been stated above, smart casual,I wore slacks, shoes and short sleeve shirt every evening, so after the first few nights, hubby can see what can and what cannot be worn, enjoy and tell them I will see them in September again lol
