Is full board worth the extra at Belle Mare Plage?

Hi

My wife and I are off to The Constance Belle Mare Plage Hotel in December and will be staying on half board basis. We are considering upgrading to full board which our travel agent has quoted at £658 for 10 nights. This is our third visit to Mauritius so our stay is likely to be resort based. Our question is, are we likely to spend more on lunch time meals (with soft drinks and wine) over our 10 night stay? Can anyone who has been to CBMP give us a rough idea of the cost of lunch in one of the beach cafes? I know that drinks are expensive but cannot seem to find a menu showing the price of any of the food in the restaurants.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Russell and Jenny

We've stayed here but had the HB as we had a car for the duration of our stay so didn't have lunch.

FB includes lunch and drinks with meals I think - not all drinks as in an AI?

If the £658 for 10 nights is for the two of you its not bad but if pp I'm not so sure, but lunches are usually expensive.

Why don't you contact them using the contact form on their website and ask them to email you a lunch menu?

Sorry I can't be of much help.

If its £658 for the both of you its worth it considering if it includes soft drinks and wine etc with your meals and lunch.

I have found lunch these days even in 3* hotels costs about £20 per person and that is excluding drinks.

Thank you for your help Preston Traveller, we'll double check but I think the £658 is for both of us.

have a nightmare did you??????? brony

Sweatyboy, drinks and food are expensive there,so if you like a nice lunch with drinks, would think it is worth it, we usually only have a snack lunch time, hot drink in the room, cereal bars or fruit or biccies either from our suitcase from home or from the local village or the market.

Many thanks for all your advice. Sadly full board doesn't include the drinks, this is only offered during the summer months. The hotel very kindly sent us menus and prices so at least we'll know roughly how much to take with us.
