Hi Dobsy

best is to take Euros

don't change rupees at home

the currency in MRU is: mauritian rupies -MUR or rs

I want to bring English Sterling and change for Rupees at the airport, what will I be charged? I will be changing cash not cheques?

I know the rate is better but there is no fee to change money here and so if it works out with little difference I will do it here!

There is no charge for changing notes-the rate currently is Rs 40.10=1euro-and Rs59.63 for 1 pound sterling. his should enable you to decide whteher to bring euros or pound sterling.

Enjoy your holiday

Try travelex they reckon they cannot be beaten on exchange rates. We used our debit Visa card to draw cash from ATM, but some companies will charge you for doing this. Nationwide does not.
