Hilton; proximity to shop & restaurants

Hi can people advise if there are any shops, bars, restaurants within a short walk or taxi ride to the Hilton? I'm aware they offer HB but wouldn't want to be restricted to eating within the resort everyday.

Nothing within walking distance after dark so you would need a taxi, it's less than 5 minute ride into Flic en Flac.

Great thanks, is there a decent choice in Flic en Flac?

There's a choice, our favourites are Chez Pepe (Italian) and Ah Youn (Chinese), never had a bad meal in either and very reasonably priced. Plenty of others to choose from too.

A mile or so out of town is my favourite restaurant Domaine Anna, but you do need reservations and it's closed on Monday. Well worth a visit.

Thanks both. I have seen this discussed previously but weather wise in September (from around 16th onwards) is it generally sunbathing weather?

Sunbathing weather all year round on the west coast. It's just in the evenings that it's slightly cooler.

This is my latest review for Domaine Anna, this restaurant is something special IMO.

Second half of September is much better than the first, we've had some cool breezy days early September but you should be fine.
