I think it is advisable to visit Salalah all the time.

The temperatures are nice and moderate in April, with evenings that can get slightly cooler. The only issue is that April is really when the humidity starts to build before khareef. If you are in Dubai, though, this won't be too much of a shock.

As April is just a few months before khareef starts, all of the green will be gone (which is one of the things that some people like visiting Salalah to see).

Salalah is also quite small. Anywhere in the area of the city will be central enough to make sightseeing easy. The rest will depend on your budget and what exactly you want out of a hotel (walking distance to restaurants, etc).

As Greasy Said "As April is just a few months before khareef starts, all of the green will be gone (which is one of the things that some people like visiting Salalah to see). "

So if you plan to visit Salalah to see the greenery, fogs, views in the mountain, than you better postpone your trip to June, July, August but keep in mind it might get very busy during Eid holiday after Ramdhan.

Have a good day.
