Car Rental in Bocas

We will be four adults travelling in Panama in February. Our plan is to fly to Bocas for 3-4 nights then rent a car and take 2 weeks to drive back to PC. Are there one way car rentals in Bocas area? Is 2 weeks a reasonable time to explore our way back to PC by car?

No. I dont know about one-way but you can rent a car in David which is 1/2 hour plane or 3 hour bus. It is on the Pacific.

There are no car rental agencies in Bocas, or Changuinola, Almirante or Chiriqui Grande the 3 towns on the mainland that the water taxis travel to.

Fly to Bocas and then plan on flying to David (Mon/Wed/Fri only) and rent a car there. You will have to pay a drop-off charge - last I heard it was about $160 but you may be able to negotiate it.

In 2 weeks you could easily explore Bambito/Cerro Punta and Boquete and even the Chiriqui beach areas like Playa Barqueta, Boca Chica/Isla Boca Brava, Las Lajas before heading to the Azuero peninsula and exploring Pedasis, Tonosi and Las Tablas areas, then hit El Valle and the beaches between Farallon and Chame before getting to Panama City. Another side trip you could do out of Santiago is up into the hills to Santa Fe.

Give yourself at least a couple of days to enjoy and explore in and around Panama City.
