Where should we look for accommodation?

We (husband and wife in early 30s) are planning to be in Bocas del Toro for 4 nights in early August. We are going to Puerto Viejo, CR and a friend mentioned that we should go to Bocas del Toro. We looked it up and like islands and decided to go. The plan is to go from Puerto Viejo and stay for 4 nights in Bocas del Toro and then go back to San Jose, CR to get the flight back home. None of us know how to swim well and we do not care about night life that much. We are looking to hangout and laying near beaches, going into water, exploring, relax, walk/hike, coffee shops/local food. We enjoy vocational rental more than hotels.

Red Frog beach is not great for people that dont swim well. Try out the Big Creek area.

Big Creek is great too. There is a place called Villa Paraiso there...

August is a month with not much swell. Red Frog (and other beaches to the north of the islands) should be fine unless we are blessed with waves.
