Pump near Convention Centre, not far from Ayala is pretty popular. While Sunflower mix with live bands and DJ, Pump only have a DJ.

Julianna's in Mango Square is also OK, similar to Pump.

Prices are lower for both of these places than Sunflower. Sunflower charge 100-150 in entrance, no drink included - and 100 peso a SML. The other places have free entrance if you're early, or 50 included a SMB and 50 thereafter.

Pump and Julianna both have outside seatings, Sunflower not.

Although I never encountered any problems ar Pump or Juliannas, Sunflower however, is a bit more, eh, safe and civilized - so a newbie tourist might want to start here.

Other places are Formo at Banilad Town Center(BTC), popular in weekends, and Club Vudu at Crossroads .

And remember, although Cebu is considered a safe city - if you're overwhelming drunk, be careful.

Depends how old you are

if your 50+ go to sunflower.. its a bit boring but the live band is ok. Drinks and covercharge... no thanks especially when the girls wore sandles and my friend who was wearing designer sandles couldnt get inside because he had no socks so he had to buy socks off the front door staff. After that experience I just dont want to go to greedy, money hungry clubs especially at the prices they charge for Beer at double the rate of everywhere else.

You (Park Mall) has live band and range of places to eat including pier 1.

Mango: watch the underage and pay girls at Jullianas. Lots of transgender there too. Better value at other venues eg. accross the road at You (has a band also and same name as Park mall place) is a bit better.

Theres Loft at IT Park, Formoe (Banilad Town Centre) and Cross Roads. Mactan is a bit far out of the action.

Just be aware that sometimes things happen eg. bottles and glass thrown at patrons during a fight so clear out as the security will never do a thing. What amazed me is that they walked around with rifles slung over their shoulders to protect the buildings but when people are under attack eg. with glass such as at Formo Banilad town centre ...they just stood by and watched and did nothing and let the perpetrators walk away.

Jazz and blues bar (never went)

Marco Polo and some of the hotels have a small quiet scene if like that loungy feel.

Mango seems the place to go but its a bit more seedier. Pump at Banilad gets a lot of Korean students and so does You at Park Mall. Theres also places behind Mango square in the street where Casablanca hotel is. eg. Zeigrets ... which is a quick walk and away from the rabble trying to beg and lady boys whistling to jesture you over for a chat.

Vudu , loft or Z bar is where most yuppies hang-out.. sunflower mostly a mix of local and koreans. Jazz and blues bar is ok for middle age group and wine shop is a mix crowd. it would really depend on how old you are and what type of crowd you want to be in.
