But that post is certainly worthy of "Looney" Planet. Why would anyone travel to Iloilo to get a flight to Palawan (considering Kalibo -PPS flights) ?
If there are international flights to Iloilo then many may want to take advantage of Iloilo as a stopover city. For example HKG-ILO-PPS can be an alternative to HKG-MNL-PPS if the connection time is good.
But 10 international flights into Cebu, with both AirPhilExpress and Cebu Pacific flying to PPS.
Maybe it's good to add an 11th international flight option ;-)
@ mousehunt: I am also surprised, my dad is so happy because he is from Iloilo and I hope that those routes would be sustainable as it would clearly benefit the economy of Western Visayas.
Can someone tell me what days these direct flights are available on? I've checked the Cebu website and can only find flights that are via Manila or Cebu.
Do note that the flight from Iloilo to HK and SG start only from 8th Nov.
Starting November 8, 2012, CEB will launch twice weekly flights from Iloilo to Hong Kong. It will also add one Iloilo-Manila daily service on the same day, making it a 7 times daily Iloilo-Manila service.
On November 9, 2012, CEB will also launch thrice weekly flights from Iloilo to Singapore and thrice weekly flights from Iloilo to Puerto Princesa.
Aha, so not October then. Cheers people.
