Russian Visa required?

I am flying to RIX in 2 weeks, and only have a short layover in Moscow. On the way back it is a 12 hour layover, and I have booked a room in the Airport hotel.

Will I need a tourist visa to be able to stay in the hotel for the evening?

Just be careful as in US saying "just a transit visa" does not save one much...that is, while no hassle with "visa support" docs, I think the cost and processing time-frames are the same...and they are a) expensive, and b) very tight...

MAYBE there is another "category" of transit visa that would make this easier, faster, but I would at a minimum clear this up literally "today" as the price for getting stuff rush goes thru the roof...

In SVO Novotel has a "bonded" area, where those without visa can stay. If you are talking about this hotel, you should ask them for a procedure in the transit zone for you to be picked up at the arrival and escorted to the hotel. Enjoy!

Yes, make sure your doc's are all in order and (tight) as in the correct ones? I don't here of it often, but sometimes people have had to go through all sorts of grief just to continue their trip by not having the correct doc's. AIM.
