Macgrav is located on Vasilievsky island, line #13, building #22. It is the company producing glass with artistic engraving.

To regenerate the art of three-dimensional engraving in Russia - this is the task, which the best specialists of the Leningrad plant of fancy glass, the founders of the creative workshop "Macgrav" set themselves in 1991.

All the works created by the artists and engravers of the firm follow the best Russian traditions of hand engraving: copies from works of the imperial glass plant masters, wines glasses and goblets with double-headed eagles, portraits made by the method of three-dimensional engraving and in half-tones, crystal sets with hunting themes, copies of icons on optical glass.

But the main direction af the workshop is unique works on the artists which have been repeatedly awarded honored diplomas at the largest Russian and international glass exhibition.

The creative workshop "Macgrav" is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of St.Petersburg and the Association "Folk Art and Crafts of St.Petersburg and Leningrad region".

There are leading engravers:

Vladimir Timofeev, Yuri Kolesnikov, Alexey, Yuri Smekalov.

Stieglitz Museum is located in the Art School on Solyanoj pereulok, #13. It is very close to Fontanka River, Michael’s castle and the Summer Garden, right behind St.Panteleimon church.

It is a museum of Applied art, which has the collection of over 30 thousand exhibits includes various decorative arts and crafts, including furniture, porcelain, chandeliers, tiled stoves, artistic metalwork, bass relieves and carvings. The museum was established in 1878 as a part of the Baron Schtieglitz School of Technical Drawing, which in the 20th century evolved into the Artistic Industrial Academy. The museum's building is a masterpiece in its own right and was built in eclectic style by the architect Maximilian Mesmacher, specifically to house the museum's collection. The building's huge Grand Hall, incorporating an impressive glass roof, recently underwent an extensive program of restoration. Aside the historical collection the Academy has a nice gallery of contemporary art, where you can have a look at some works of those who graduated from the academy in different years and the most prominent modern artists whose works are included in the collections of numerous museums and best art galleries both in Russia and abroad. All the works are for sale.
