Student Body Card - Is it just an official School ID?

When people talk about a Student Body Card do they mean just an Identification from school? Or does the "Student Body Card" belong to some specific organization?

When my son arrives with me in St Petersburg does he just need his official "School ID" or must we purchase something else?

IMHO you shouldn't rely on discounts with your american ID in russian metro.

First of all, benefits are paying by St.Petersburg administration for low-income russian groups, not for tourists. Second, discount is available only for monthly season ticket. But if your son is about 7 or less, they pass him for free without any ID.

College or University Students get discount in the museums if the present ISIC - International Student Card.

School children do not need any special ID to get the museum discount.
