Hotel between Astrakhan and Volgograd; Chernyy Yar?

Hi,

We will be travelling by road between Astrakhan and Volgograd, and wondered if anyone knew of a hotel halfway between. On Google I can see a fair-sized town called Chernyy Yar which would be ideal. Does anyone know of a hotel there or somewhere nearby?

Many thanks!

Truly speaking Chernyj Yar is kind of village, not town. It is historical place but very small one (about 8.000 residents). So don’t expect any kind of good service there. And don’t expect anyone speaking English as well.

I can find two hotels:

‘OTDYH’ (can be translated as ‘rest’) – square of Lenin, 20 (‘ploshad Lenina, 20).

The phone number +7 (85149)2-19-12

Hotel without name, located right near the highway. The building is made of the red bricks. The phone number is +7(85149) – 2-39-54

Hope it helps.

Have a pleasant and safe trip!
