Flights from Guangzhou in December

We'll be in Guangzhou in Dec/Jan and want to fly somewhere for a beach break - Vietnam, Thailand?? Where can we go relatively nearby for some sun for a week? Any suggestions warmly received!

Hi there,

Thailand would be a good choice - warm, fun, easy to travel and relatively cheap. AirAsia flies from Guangzhou to Bangkok directly for a low price but do book this early as you'll be travelling in some peak holiday season. Other airlines flying to BKK from Guangzhou directly includes Sri Lankan Airlines, Thai Airways and China Southern, so you've got yourself quite a few opitions.

As for Vietnam, just from the travelling point of view, flights are only operated by China Southern shared code with Vietnamese Airline (double check this) so you'll probably need to budget in more in terms of international travelling.

Budget airlines also fly from Guangzhou to Cebu directly.

Or you can simply go to Hainan Island for the beaches in Sanya if you have visa restrictions.

Hope this helps.

I think that heading to Thailand on cheap flights from AirAsia is a good idea.
